Course Weblog

Short for weblogs, blogs are used to share information and opinions with readers and to solicit feedback and discussion. They often take the form of a journal and are regularly updated with new, dated entries. “A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs.” (Wikipedia)

We used 21classes as our course weblog discussion forum to help us build an effective and cohesive learning community which we hope will deepen the understanding and application of the material being presented in the course. Discussion forums are a key component of each course.

Course Pedagogical Discussions Wiki

A wiki is a "type of Web site that allows the visitors themselves to easily add, remove, and otherwise edit and change some available content… This ease of interaction and operation makes a wiki an effective tool for collaborative authoring." (Source: Wikipedia)

We used wik.is because it was a good website to that allowed many people to edit material at once.
